What's so important about goals?

Only when we have released hereditary baggage and conditioning, can we truly begin to think original thoughts, feel our own original feelings and just begin to touch on our unique purpose on earth.
(That's assuming you believe you've got one...and are not merely a bundle of complicated nerve endings wrapped up in a more or less acceptable parcel and due to expire on your 'use by' date at the end of a given period!)
Once we commit to fulfilling our heart's desires, we become endowed with the restoration of our original power, that is to be able to own the birthright of enjoying the infinitely creative and exalted existence of the human species.
From this place of choice, when we are suitably attired in a 'life-suit' that makes us look and feel as fabulous as we are meant to be, it begins to radiate and touch other people. Now the music begins to play, you begin to dance life instead of endure it. Happiness begets happiness. Joy begets joy.
Happy fulfilled people begin to see how their happiness is inextricably linked with their family's happiness, that of their community, their country.
When we channel the joy into projects and creativity, into education and communication, the joy ripple spreads. When we combine our happiness with passion and then pour it into our 'activity for the common good' (commonly known as profession), miracles occur. We can only be truly, effective in this magnificent potentiality. When we are following our heart, our dreams, our cherished ideals, our hopes, our aspirations, our quintessential expression of human-ness, When we begin to use this power of joyand harness it to the wagons of progress, the shift begins. It has already begun . So do not be swayed, fellow dreamers by the gravitational pull of global problems. Sort yourself out first, and you will be a thousand times more effective in sorting the world out (if that is your desire).
Do whatever it takes to assuage the pain, the discomfort, the confusion, the irritation, the heaviness. Do whatever it takes to find lightness. Do whatever it takes to get happy! Do whatever it takes to combine this lightness with your courage and your distinctive and peerless talents.Take off the shrouds, shed the skins of collective griping, stop complaining. Know that it begins with choice. Individual choice. So choose to be happy! Choose to fulfil your dreams, urgently! Lighten up! When we're light we are funny, visionary, creative,energetic, loving. When we're light, we begin to tap into our true (eternal), essential nature.When we're light we're invincible in our crusades. Jump into the lake of bliss that is our birthright and watch your ripples caress the distant shores of other's pain.Get passionate!
Splash about and make waves of change. Jump up and down in the water and watch the ripples turn into undulations of advancement, billowing towards the embellishment of this amazing earth with which we are so privileged to inhabit.
There will always be upheaval.
Man will constantly choose challenges and contrast for himself in order to learn. As long as the mass of human-kind feels separate and disconnected from the universe, this is inevitable.
A perfect world is not a world in which all the problems are solved! A perfectworld is a world in which we know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we came hereto be happy and that we are most powerful when we're happy.
And the greatest realisation is that when we are in our bliss, we are light and when we are light, in light, in flight, we feel delight. In delight, we feel the connection with between us and everything else.
It begins with you. It begins with me. Why on earth are you here otherwise?
